What makes Obooi sandals different?
Obooi sandals are fully personalized — made-to-order based on your anatomy, pain points, and preferences. We use advanced 3D printing and orthopedic know-how to build footwear that actually supports your health.
How does customization work?
We offer three levels:
Level 1: Essential Relief – Choose your size, fit, colors, and basic comfort preferences.
Level 2: Advanced Recovery – Select from medical conditions and we’ll customize your footbed accordingly.
Level 3: Personal Pain Manager – Full custom fit via our at-home imprint kit and full orthopedic tailoring.
Are the sandals medical devices?
They’re not classified as medical devices, but they are designed using medical principles and orthopedic expertise — especially helpful for conditions like plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, collapsed arches, and more.
Will they be comfortable right away?
Not always — and that’s a good thing. Your body may need a short adjustment period as it realigns. Most users notice significant improvement in comfort and pain relief after a week or two.
What if I have wide/narrow feet or other unique needs?
That’s exactly what Obooi is made for. Our customization options adapt to every foot shape, size, and condition — so you get the perfect fit.
Are the materials sustainable?
Yes. All our materials are vegan-friendly, EU-certified, and chosen for both performance and sustainability. Most are antibacterial, breathable, and kind to the environment.
Is there a lot of production waste?
No — our 3D printing process reduces waste to as little as 1–3%, compared to 30% in traditional footwear manufacturing. To put in to perspective; for every tonne of waste with traditional production, we produce only 100kg, which is less than an average person weighs.
How long does it take to receive my sandals?
Production begins once your order is placed. Depending on your customization level, delivery typically takes 2–4 weeks.
Where are the sandals made?
All Obooi sandals are designed and produced in the EU.
Can I return or exchange my sandals?
Because every pair is custom-made, we don’t accept traditional returns. However, if there’s a fit issue or functional problem, contact us — we’ll work with you on a case-by-case basis to make it right.
